As a teacher, I experienced firsthand how complex and multifaceted the relationship dynamics between students, parents, and teachers can be. There were often tensions, biases, and the difficulty of addressing sensitive topics without offending anyone. These tensions weighed on me, especially when I saw how children suffered from their parents' conflicts and how this was reflected in their behavior at school.

I often supported children who were struggling with schoolwork. It didn't feel right to focus on deficits and assess or treat the children. I realized that the root of many problems lies in the school system itself and in family roots. Therefore, I decided to work directly with the parents in such cases. This approach often lowered expectations of the child, which led to improved behavior and performance. It is essential to identify and address the underlying causes of behavioral problems to truly help children.
